Goodbye and Good luck! Thank you for ten years!

The Ottawa Writer’s Circle was founded by Averill Elisa Frankes in September 2013 to make the solitary act of writing a little less lonely and steadily grew into one of the largest and most active writing communities in the City of Ottawa. For nearly ten years, Averill and the OWC volunteer team organized and facilitated social mixers, discussion groups, critique circles, Shop Talks, workshops, presentations from industry professionals, and so much more for its members and the writing community at large.

It was an enormous pleasure to lead such a diverse and enthusiastic community through our individual writing journeys. I will always be grateful for the lessons and tools I’ve gained from this experience and from the entire membership! 

I wish each and every one of you so much luck in your next chapters as I close the book on one of the most rewarding experiences of my life (so far!).
